Kia Ora Bloggers! How's your day going? This literacy we have been doing Kiwi Innovators and me and Charlotte made an Animal sensor. We made the design on Tinkercad. when the sensor goes off the bowl comes out. I really enjoyed doing this and I am excited for next week. we have swum over the net over this week and next week so we do a lot in literacy groups.

This week was our last week of Cybersmart and today our task was to make a game, animation or explanation on scratch. I made a game called Bean Moving where you can move right, up and down to try and catch the bread. It was a really fun task and I want to do it again so badly! If the game doesn't work you can go onto scratch and search Zleam up and look at it from there. I hope you have a Good Day!

Kia Ora! This week we did speeches for literacy we did our speeches. We had the choice to either video it or do it out loud if your video that you wouldn't have a chance to get in the finals but if you didn't video wish then you would have a chance to get in. I got in and the finals were today. Most of the people were girls and there were only 3 boys! It was really scary but I did it. Thank you to Mrs Kerin, Mum, Dad, Nana and Gran for helping me. Kia Ora! Are you having a good day? This term our inquiry is about Young Entrepreneurs and so we are learning about kiwi innovators and what they built. My favourite was the Zorb. Me and Stella did this together but she is making the board game so I started the next slide. I really like the activities in the slide and now I want to go on the Zorb for myself! Today Me and my friend Mabel wrote a story about two girls who were very different going to space together. It has 6 chapters so far, but we are still writing it. So check back often to read our story! I really liked writing it with Mabel because we both have good ideas. Mabel is the person who did the Maori Commands screencastify which we did later on my blog. I wrote all the chapters with Astro and Mabel wrote About Buttons.
Our sources were our brains and google docs. When I did this with Mabel I found it really fun and enjoyable. We both had brilliant Ideas and we never disagreed with each other. I can't wait to finish the story off. Have you ever written a story with a friend? What can we improve?
Kia Ora Bloggers! I hope you have been having fun in your bubble because I definitely have. I have been drawing more than ever now since we are in lockdown and this week I decided to challenge myself with a Disney drawing tutorial. I loved drawing Stitch from Lilo and Stitch because he is so cute and so fun to draw. This week I think I'm going to draw the Genie from Aladdin because it was so fun drawing Stitch. Kia Ora! Are you having a good lockdown? I definitely am, because I have been baking with my friends! No, I haven't been inside other peoples bubbles! But, I have been on google meet and baked with them:) It was really fun and so we made a group called The Covid Chefs. We meet 1-2 times a week at 4.00pm and we all bake/cook stuff. The group includes Me, Holly, India, and Emily C. I'm really excited for the next time we bake together. BTW, if you are looking at Emily C's blog and you are wondering who Mealz is it's my nickname:). So here are some pictures of our first bake! Bye.

I chose, Create your own Potato digging tool. I made it on pixel art. It was really fun and I liked creating the tool. I think that if you like art you would love this. So here's my slide:3

Kia Ora! In literacy, we have been learning about the Tokyo Olympics. I, Mabel and Charlotte are doing it on Luuka Jones who does a sport called canoe slalom. W e are doing it for two weeks and we are also doing it on a Google site. We have to make a site on a New Zealand athlete so we chose Luuka Jones. Do you remember my last blog post? Well, Mabel and I have now made a screencastify about the Maori commands and 3 more ones we have learnt. It was really fun and I enjoyed it a lot. This term, every morning we learn how to pronounce some Te Reo Maori. This term we have been learning Maori commands like Kia Tere, Kia Tau and Kia Tupato. Then you were allowed to make an animation showing all the commands you have learnt. My friend Mabel and I made this commands slide and added a new command to put us in the teacher's good books! It was Taihoa which means wait. I really liked making the characters and animating them. My sources were: Charat Genisis and Google Slides.

Salaam bloggers! When the Aladdin people go to production practice, we have a slide we have to work on while we aren't acting or singing. Hey Guys! This week, on Wednesday we had our Celebration Assembly. All of our work had to be completed before the Wednesday. When Thursday came around we had basicly free writing for about half a hour, so me and my bestie Izzy made an information report on Meerkats. We're still working on it, but I still think it's excellent. Also one of my favourite animals are Meerkats, so yeah. Hello, Today we were learning about emails and how to send a good one. We practised by writing an email about why pets should/should not be allowed on public transport and sent it to our homegroup teacher. I think that pets should be allowed because e.g. if your in a wheelchair and you want to go somewhere and have a dog, It's pretty hard to walk it, right? What do you think? I hope you enjoy. Hello, In literacy we are doing some free writing at the start. Holly, Lucy, Izzy and I are doing a play on Tsunamis. There is 5 Tsunamis in the story and we are acting them out. Lucy and I act out the Children and I do Tsunami 2 and 5. Holly is the narrarotor and Izzy helps with the writing. We all give ideas and Izzy writes them down. It's really fun and we are going to act it out in a couple of days. The Tsunami is going to be a blue balnket, just saying:) I am going to post the screencastify when its ready but for now I will post the actors script. Have you ever acted in a play? Hope you enjoy!
Hello, this week in Literacy we were doing explanation writing. Me and Izzy wrote all the information and Holly helped with the measurment. I really liked doing the work on Tsunamis because it helped me identify what a Tsunami looks like and what to do if you find one. The Earthquakes slide wasn't as good as the Tsunami one because we did more work on it. Have you ever seen a Tsunami? Hope you enjoy!

Hello, My last task:( for Summer learning journey was the blanket fort/camping games. I chose the blanket fort one (kick start) and made one that was cool. Hello, Today for Summer learning journey I made a chemistry lab on Minecraft Education Edition! It was really fun and I thought that the best part was making Underwater torches and Underwater Tnt. I think the hardest part was to fill up all the space you get in the lab. I think I rate it 7/10 because it was kinda boring. So here are all the photos I took. See ya!
Hello, this morning I am going to be doing the Mondrian art task (kick start). I found out that the guy also did other paintings and made different pictures than the ones he does now. Hello, Do you know what pixels are? I do, all because we did it in Summer Learning Journey. I made a Flashing Xmas on my Pixel art account. I did that Step it up challenge and I thought it was pretty fun. It was pretty easy but still really cool. We also had to write down at least 2 things we learn't.
1-Pixels make up all the Youtube, Tik Tok, Instagram and other online video's we watch.
2-Pixels have 3 different colours in them, if you see purple it means that there's only red and blue but in other pictures there's red, blue and green.

I thought it was a pretty good Photo becuase my Mum always takes good ones ( much better than my ones ) You can make it by have someone behinde you and try and make it look like they are smaller than you. Today I did the Fake or real task from Summer Learning Journey. In lockdown we often guessed if the person on the screen was behind a real place or a Zoom background. Sometimes it would be obvious that Zoom back ground from all the glitching. The task was to play a Fake or Real game and click the picture that was real and it would say if right or wrong. I got this one right bacause I could tell the the lady was not fake. I hope you like my work:)
