Kia Ora! In literacy, we have been learning about the Tokyo Olympics. I, Mabel and Charlotte are doing it on Luuka Jones who does a sport called canoe slalom. W e are doing it for two weeks and we are also doing it on a Google site. We have to make a site on a New Zealand athlete so we chose Luuka Jones. I think this is very fun and I want to do more of it. Do you know who Luuka Jones is? Answer in the comments! Bye:)

I Watched Luuka's races and was amazed at her upper body strength as she navigated her way through the gates! She showed such determination it was great to see her achieve a medal!
ReplyDeleteI also heard that she was named after a movie character her mother liked, except that Luca was a boy. To make the difference, she added another u to the name, so you are unlikely to find another Luuka in the world!
