Hey, On minecraft yesterday I did a coding activity on Minecraft. It was really fun and I liked helping the Illagers. I hope you like Minecraft just like me:) It was hard to find the right codes but easy to play with them. I really liked it because you went back to the tree and saw it grow! Here is my certificate:)

My Musical notes
Hello, I have done 2 tasks today and this was my 2nd one. It was to make a Xylaphone out of paper. It was really easy and quite fun. I found out that if the cup is half full it means that it will make a low pitch sound and if it is quarter way full it means that it will make a high pitch sound. It was tricky when it came to taping them and the easy part was making the noise. I hope you enjoy my song, but what song did I make? Reply in the comments! Thanks, ( hint the song is a X-mas one:) )
Pigpen code.
Hey bloggers, Pigpen code was really cool and I think it is really fun. I could read it really well. The beach is Piha and it is close to where my uncle lives. He lives in Auckland. The code that I used for the make your own was still pigpen because it was really easy to learn. I hope you start to learn pigpen because it is really cool! Here is my google drawing with the code for you to figre out! Hope you enjoy:)

Summer poems.
Kia ora, Last week I missed a couple of activities and today I did the Summer Haiku. I did both activities because my teacher taught us how to make them and I thought they were fun! I screencastify-ed my 2nd one A.K.A step it up. It was really fun and I thought it was really cool. Next time I think I could of done it a bit better with the images, but other than that I thought it was pretty good. Have you ever made a Haiku poem? Was it really fun? I hope you enjoy my poems:) Merry X-mas ( 2 days away !)

My crazy chorus.
Hey bloggers,
This is my 3rd summer learning activity and we had to make a song chorus.
I called it Be nice because it was about being nice. It took me about 10 minutes to create it. My chorus was hard to make because it was not very easy to put all the words in.
The inspiration was from the Mosque shooting here in Chch NZ 18 months ago. What would your chorus be about if you had to make one?

The Pavlova Butterfly.
Hey bloggers,
This is my Summer Learning journey No.2 Insect Art! To start with I watched a video about an artist named Raku Inoue. He makes amazing insect art out of things he finds in his garden and other gardens.
I made a butterfly and with all the white and pink petals from the roses and a variety of summer flowers from our garden.
My insect has a green body and lots of pink. This is because they are summer colours in my opinion. The reason I called it the Pavlova Butterfly is because the white reminds me of the cream and the pink also reminds me of strawberrys on a pavlova!
If you had to make a Insect from flowers what types would you use?
See ya later!
Wacky Watermelons!!!
Hey bloggers,
I have signed up for the Summer learning journey and today I did the teaser activity.
The task was to use art colouring book and recreate a famous artwork in our own colours. I chose The Watermelons by Diego Rivera.
The Wacky Watermelons by Amelia Osborn 2020
I chose these bright colours because Summer reminds me of brightness.
If you were going to recreate this art what type of colours would you use?

JELLIE PARK!
Hello,
Yesterday we went to Jellie Park. Me and my friends went on the hydroslide together. Me and my friend Mabel were pretending to be rats going down sewers. the line was massive. It took about 3 minutes to get to the top!
After that we had some food and the we went into the other pool and pretended it was the sewer pipe down into a poop pond. We put things over the rings and looked at the pool discustingly. A little later I went on the diving board, and it was so cool! After all the fun my lips were turning Purple! So me and Izzy hopped out and got changed.

Sup dudes,
This week we had to do our Speeches in our homebase. My speech was about why I think I am like a Sloth.
It was way more easy because my teacher wrote my Introduction and 1st paragraph. The speech was easy to research but harder to write.
Have written a speech before? Hope you enjoy!!!!:)

Moon Run Fun!!!
Last weekend I did a 2km run in Bottle Lake Forest. It took me 10 minutes and 57 seconds. My last time was 12 minutes and 57 seconds, so I was 2 minutes faster than last time! It took lots of determination becuase I set myself a goal of beating my last time.
It was really fun but hard at the end close to the finish line. Hope you enjoy the images :) Have you done a run in the forest at night?

Chapter chat fun
This week for Literacy we are doing Chapter Chat and I chose to read Wonder.
In my book August is going to school and he has just had hallowen. I have just red Via's perspective and it was really good because she talked about her Grans and August didn't. Next I am reading Summer's perspective. Via has talked about how she sees August and when going home from somewhere like her Grans' house she sees August differently like everyone else sees him.
Next week we are doing Battle of the Books for Book Week. It was hard when we had to answer the questions as it challenged me to think a bit deeper but really easy when we had to do the activities. My favourite activity was the draw one. My least favourite one was the vocabulary.
Have you done Chapter chat before? Hope you enjoy:)

My favourite foods.
This week for Inquiry I made a poster and a video to help Rowdy kitchen ( as you would already know because I told you in my last post:) The video was made on Adobe and the poster was made on Canva. It was made becuse Rowdy Kitchen is sort of new and they had to stop the food and stuff when we were in lockdown. The hardest part of making the video was finding all the stuff and information to add in and the hardest part on the poster was to find the best reasonsto go to Rowdy Kitchen. Here is the poster and the video.

Wonderful Writing
In literacy we do some writing starters. First you choose a image from the site and then do a story on it!
I made 2 because we haven't started to do it for long.
The hardest part was to create the animation and find the images. The best part was creating the story.
The scource was slides and google sites. I hope you enjoy!

Awesome animation!
For reading me and 2 of friends have been doing a animation a a book called Rodrick Rules by Jeff Kinney.
We are still working on it so it is not complete. The hardest part was moving the Greg (aka the boy with the hair that is a small tuft) and changing the scenes around. The best part was putting the sunglasses on Manny when he was on the moter bike:)
What is your fave book? Have you read this book yet? Do you like Diary of a wimpy kid?
Here is the animation:)

Name bug.
For my Maths this week we have been learning about co-ordinates, transformation, translation, fotation and reflection. For one of the extra tasks, we had to watch a drawing tutorial. First we had to fold the paper in half and then write your name. Then we had to trace on the other side and colour it in. It comes out looking like some interesting style of bug!
It was very fun and I enjoyed it.
The hardest part was tracing it because my hands got sore.
Have you made this art?
Stuff I have been doing.
Yesterday I made some LEGO and drew a picture. The LEGO was made by scratch and the picture was from a tutorial. I drew a Minecraft fox, and my LEGO creation was a Unicorn.
My next drawing will be a pig. The hardest thing with my drawing was that I had to do it lightly.
My next LEGO creation will be a cat. The hardest thing with my LEGO was that I had to find all the same pieces and not have missmatch colours.

In literacy we have to made another information report and I decided to choose Sofia Carson because she is a really cool actress.
I made it on a Adobe Spark.
It was really fun to make and my fave part was when I got to put it onto the Adobe Spark.
What have you done for writing? What have you done for literacy? Have you made an Adobe Spark before?

Do you like them? Have you done one of these before? I hope you watch them and then try yourself.

Slow, Super Sloths - what do you know?
For literacy we have been learning about information reports and we got to choose a animal. I chose Sloths as I love them an think that they are really fascinating.
I wanted to create this in an exciting way, so I learnt how to use Adobe Slate.
I hope that you learn something new when you read my report. What was your favourite fact? Do you have an animal that you really like and know lots about?

Special KFC night!
Welcome back to my blog. Since we have been in lockdown we have not been allowed ANY TAKEAWAYS! So my Mum treated us to some homemade KFC! She worked all afternoon to make her own dinner rolls, she even cut the lid off a box of and drew the KFC sign on to paper, then she sellotaped it on the box. She filled the box with chicken tenders, chicken nuggets and coleslaw (my brother had carrot sticks because he doesn't like coleslaw). It was delicious!
My rating was 10 out of 10. We also watched the movie Desendants 2 while eating the KFC.
Have you had homemade takeaways since being in lockdown?
Bye see you next time!

Mighty Mary-Anne.
My fave activity to to at home is reading, and this lockdown I have done SO MUCH reading!
I am living the dream! I am also doing a book review on The Babysitters Club, Mary-Anne saves the day written by Ann M. Martin and illustrated by Riana Telgemeier. I love this book because the text is in a style that a lot of people can read it with out having to ask a Parent or Caregiver to help them read it better. I dislike that it has a lot of problems that Mary-Anne has to figure out. My fave part was when Mary-Anne has to babysit a girl called Jenny Prezzioso and Jenny gets sick. Mary-Anne is kind and it is not surprising that she makes a new friend. My rating for this book is a 5 out of 5. I have a link that you can preview the book so here it is! Mary-Anne saves the day!
